Learn about this edition
This moving image is sharing inspiration and common themes of Banksy’s poster ‘Save or Delete Jungle Book’ (2001) which raises issues of deforestation for Greenpeace.
In a clear attack on the pro-war & consumer society we live in, Banksy incorporates one of the most powerful images of twentieth-century war photography captured by American photographer Nick Ut, of a young Vietnamese girl, Phan Thi Kim Phuc, running naked screaming “too hot, too hot” as a napalm bomb is dropped on her and her family, while the iconically American images of Mickey Mouse and Ronald McDonald happily hold her hand.
